FAQs

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that life happens! We ask that clients honor and uphold their scheduled sessions. Should the need to reschedule or cancel arise, please provide your therapist with at least 24 hours’ notice. If you are unable to attend a scheduled session without providing a 24-hour notice, you will be billed the full amount of your session. One emergency cancellation is exempt.

Do you accept insurance?

We do not accept insurance at this time. Our practice operates on a private-pay basis to ensure privacy and confidentiality for our clients. All major credit cards and HSA are accepted and payment is due at the end of each session. The client can also verify if their insurance company provides out-of-network reimbursement via a Superbill.

Why is therapy so expensive and what does it cover?

Therapy is an investment in yourself and your relationships, fostering growth and healing. In terms of coverage, private pay therapy includes the therapist's time and expertise during the sessions, as well as necessary materials or resources utilized during treatment. It may also include time outside of sessions for planning, documentation, notes, therapy training related to client support, practice insurance, and supervision fees. Our therapists are committed to ensuring your investment is worthwhile and supportive of your journey towards well-being.

Do you offer both in-person and virtual sessions?

Yes! We offer both in-person and virtual therapy sessions for our clients. In-person sessions are located at our Arvada office (more information below) and virtual sessions can be held anywhere in the state of Colorado, all clients need is a computer and access to our online portal!

What does a typical session look like?

While sessions are likely to be different depending on the therapist, client goals, and stage of treatment in therapy, you can expect a session to include a safe and confidential space where you can openly discuss your thoughts, emotions, and experiences with a licensed therapist. The therapist actively listens and provides empathetic support while helping clients explore their challenges and goals. Through various therapeutic techniques, RMRT therapists work collaboratively with clients to promote self-awareness, coping skills, and positive changes in their emotional well-being and daily life. Sessions typically last 50 minutes and occur on a regular basis, determined by the agreed-upon treatment plan.

Do you offer longer sessions?

We do! Longer therapy sessions such as 75 or 90-minutes are made available to accommodate individual preferences or specific therapeutic needs upon request. The option for extended sessions allows for more in-depth exploration and discussion during the therapy process. Your therapist will provide you with pricing options based on the session length.
